Care to share your computing @ UNB stories?
My name is Kaitlyn, and I'm working on a co-op placement at the University of Waterloo, mostly in the Arts Faculty Helpdesk, but also for the Information Systems and Technology department. IST is trying to keep up with students' computing needs here, and we'd like to know what you like and dislike about your school's approach.

Do you find your teachers' expectations exceed what the school can support when it comes to computing? Does your school have a required laptop program but doesn't support it? Or, do you love how well you can stay wired on your campus?

If you'd like to share your thoughts, please do so by filling out a 5-10 minute survey here:

The results will only be identifiable by IP address, and it will not be used in the analysis. I will only link your school to your answers.

If you have any questions, you can email me at aco.helpdesk {at} gmail.com.

Thanks, and I hope you're having a great fall semester.

Silver Wave Film Festival
Everyone in the Fredericton area ought to check this out:

It runs from Wednesday to Sunday at the Charlotte Street Art Center, Tilley Hall at UNB, and the Playhouse. I think there's something like 53 films being shown during the festival. So check it out, and hope to see you there.

Alright, Frederictonians.
I am in need of a place to live, with a room mate to share rent and expenses.
Room mate and apartment must be pet friendly (I have a cat, hedgehog and fish).
Prefer to be in a place that is utilities included.
I am not a smoker, cigarettes or otherwise, and will not tolerate it inside, but don't mind the occasional social gathering as long as it is pre-discussed.
I am all for chipping in for phone/internet, and have lots of stuff to share (couch, kitchen set, dishes, etc).
I am also a pretty clean person. Cluttery but clean.
Work full time so I'm not a homebody either.
Interested roomies can email me at kristiana416@hotmail.com

Does anyone know of any place to rent in Fredericton that will allow small dogs? Preferably on the South side? I don't understand how most places will allow loud and/or messy students but not small animals :P Any help would be great!

Hi Guys!

I'm just wondering if any one is in Workman's Modern Political Theory course, or if someone knows somebody that is.

I just need to know how long our paper is supposed to be (and he doesn't answer my emails).

I'm starting at UNB on Thursday, and I'm taking Math 1003...which means...*dramatic music* PLACEMENT TEST!!!
I am petrified to take the test tomorrow.
Any words of wisdom from anyone that's taken it in past years?
I could use help.

Problem number 2:

I can't register for my courses. At http://www.unb.ca/registration/ everytime I click "continue" it says that the connection was refused.

Has anyone else had this problem? (I'm asking here since I can't call them)

Housing & UNB Question
I'm in a bit of trouble right now, and could use some help.
I was mislead about some residence stuff, and it turns out I don't have a place there, so I'm frantically searching for housing, since I'm back in Fredericton in 2 weeks.

I'm a mature student (4th year English/Political Science)
Like animals (but other than fish sometimes, I don't own any)
I'm very quiet, and clean

But I'm only go to be there from September-December (so I can't get locked in to a year long lease).

Does anyone know anyone who is looking for a roommate, or know of any affordable housing? (Other than UNB's off-campus page)

And also a UNB majors question: I'm wondering if anyone knows the requirements for a political science major. I'm signing up for my courses (Late, I know; it's a long story..) and am a little bit confused. Do I need an area studies, comparative AND the other one, or do I need to have a course that fits in to one of the three? I spoke to Karen Murray last year and she didn't really seem to know either (which is great for the head of the department).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(This has been cross-posted, so if it shows up on your Friends' Lists a few times, I apologize.
